It's pretty sad that the only real attraction in this town is the Popeye statue.

What's Eagle Pass main attraction? And don't say the Casino.

Eagle Pass attractions: Piedras Negras(tons of stuff in Piedras-birthplace of the nacho, more stuff to do there than Acuna), Historic Fort Duncan, Historic downtown, Historic architecture all over town, Fishing on the Rio Grande River, Maverick County Lake(will be converted to a state park with the property next to it), a future 18 hole golf course by the Rio Grande, Mall de Las Aguilas, San Juan Plaza, and probably more I'm forgetting. And of course you mentioned the Casino.

Main Attraction not a list of attractions. In Eagle Pass not in Piedras Negras MEXICO.

The main attraction other than the Casino is Fort Duncan. Lots of great Civil War history there.

If you like outdoorsy stuff Averhoff Lake or the Upper Nueces Reservoir and Lake Espantosa and Boynton and Bookout Reservoirs are very close to CC and the fishing is way better than Rio G plus they're nice places to just hangout and drink beer at. Not to mention the "Crystal City Revolts" stuff and the World War II internment camps. CC has plenty of history and attractions, damn I should work for the CC Chamber of Commerce.

Crystal City doen't even have a chamber of commerce. But bbqgod is right about the great amount of history that CC has. The CC revolts gave CC an extreme amount of national attention back in the 60's and 70's.
They should create a museum chronicalling the revolts. A lot of people would definately go.

Very educational stuff. Do you guys think they will ever open a museum there?

I don't think they'll open a museum anytime soon. The city is way too poor to do something like that. The only way a museum comes in is if donations from Latino groups such as LULAC or other oraganizations come in.
