View Full Version : Problems that need fixing in EP?

What are some of the biggest problems that EP should fix right away? I think what EP needs is another overpass, which I heard would happen most likely at Veterans BLVD., but they may wait on that to figure out the traffic situation on Veterans if they were to proceed with that plan. And I'm not sure if they even have the money to do that.

First overpass is over rail at north loop. It is a negative to property because it will restrict access. All overpasses are Tex Dept of Transportation projects.
Problems with the railroad being blocked for a long period of time.
How about a better and bigger library?
The childrens library is the one that really needs something done to it.

All those abandoned and decrepit homes need to be razed. Including the apartments on Second street across from the Fire Dept.

THIS IS A PLACE TO START WITH
How Government Works http://www.arcamax.com/images/ezines/living/edgeliv.gifOnce upon a time the government had a vast scrap yard in the middle of a desert. Congress said someone may steal from it at night, so they created a night watchman position (GS-4) and hired a person for the job.
Then Congress said, "How does the watchman do his job without instruction?" So they created a planning position and hired two people: one person to write the instructions (GS-12) and one person to do time studies (GS-11).
Then Congress said, "How will we know the night watchman is doing the tasks correctly?" So they created a Q.C. position and hired two people, one GS-9 to do the studies and one GS-11 to write the reports.
Then Congress said, "How are these people going to get paid?" So they created the following positions, a timekeeper (GS-09) and a payroll officer (GS-11) and hired two people.
Then Congress said, "Who will be accountable for all of these people?"
So they created an administrative position and hired three people: an Admin. Officer (GM-13), an Assistant Admin. Officer (GS-13) and a Legal Secretary (GS-08).
Then Congress said, "We have had this command in operation for one year and we are $18,000 over budget, we must cutback overall cost," so they laid off the night watchman.

When I was in EP last month the only thing that kind of stood out was the condition of the businesses that line El Indio Highway. Why so many junked vehicles?

SUSIE Q, I NEED YOUR HELP. LAST SUNDAY MY SISTER AND I WENT TO A A BIG,BIG FLEA MARKET AT POTEE. I WENT ON A HUNT FOR READING CARDS, THE ONE THAT TELL YOUR FORTUNE OR WHAT EVER. I ASK FOR INFORMATON ON HOW TO READ THE CARDS AND SHE TOLD ME THEY DON'T COME WITH INSTRUCTIONS. I THINK THE NAME OF THE CARDS IS CAPTULINA PORCELANIZADA IT ALSO HAS WRITTEN ON IT AS DE OROS AND A COIN WITH A LADY ON IT IT SAY NAIPE AND MATE. DO YOU OR ANYBODY ELSE KNOWS WHERE I CAN FINE INSTRUCTIONS ON HOW TO READ THE CARDS. MY FRIENDS LIKE TO GET TOGETHER ONCE ON A WHILE AT ONE OF THE HOUSES WE MAKE MARGARITAS AND PLAY GAMES AND WE HAVE TO THINK OF DIFFERENT FUN GAMES FOR THE NEXT TIME.
Irenera there are books you can get to help you read the tarot. I have a few if you need some titles. But the best person to ask is tarotreader, she is the one who helped me chose my deck of cards.

Maybe I'll catch it on another time I drive that way. But I am glad its going to be build away from the main traffic. Everything is bunch up right on the same area. I usually drive behind HEB to avoid the traffic, but then its hard to get to the other side to get something to eat. If I am going to MCD I make sure I drive up main street and I linger on my left lane to get to MCD, if not I will miss it, and just forget it pick something to eat at the last gas statation before leaveing EP:confused:
