I think I stick to the stereotypical- loose wieght. The problem isn't loosing the wieght, the problem is that it keeps finding me! Ha!Ha!

Hiya back to you Rene. Thanks for the welcome. Do you have any good diets I'm kinda in a slump after all the binge eating of the Christmas break. I started going to the gym again-boy is it been hard for me to wake up at 4:45 in the morning, but I'm going to have to get use to it again. I'm also going to have to start dieting again and again and again...This is where you come in. I hope you can help me out. By the way I've been on every diet ever imagined. Right now I'm trying to stick to the protien diet A.K.A. the Atkins Diet.
Hey Bigtony,
I have this excellent cookbook at home that worked for me while pregnant (no, you don't have to be pregnant. lol..) I got in trouble with my ob/gyn cause I gained 10 lbs the first month. I lost weight the healthy way without starving, although you still have to exercise some.
As soon as I get home I will post the title. Don't worry you don't have to be a great cook, and that I know for a fact. Ha,ha..
Good luck.
My new years resolution is to teach my daughter to speak spanish fluently.

By the way, mena, I feel pregnant. It must be all the barley and hopps I drank over the holidays. :D
You're funny. I think after the holidays alot of us feel pregnant. :P
Bigtony, I found the book while at work. It's called Quick and Healthy recipes and ideas written by Brenda J. Ponichtera.
Let me know how it goes.

Hey mena, I'll let you know how it goes as soon as I get a copy, but for right now I'll just keep hitting the gym. By the way I just got back from the gym and am on my way to volleyball practice. Oh! I forgot to tell you I coach a co-ed volleyball team called the Pedi Pals. Well gotta go.
The gym is such a stress reliever, wish I would make time for it.
I hope your team does well.

We did well, we beat the IBC team. It was only a scrimage but they gave us a run for our money. BTW most of our team didn't show up so I had to play . The team was impressed with me and asked how come I just coached and didn't play? I might actually play next game. BTW we have another scrimage today I think against F.D.M.C., but they're not that good- we already beat them.

Welcome BigTony!
My New Year's resolution: Learn to speak Spanish so I can communicate with my "adopted" family in Eagle Pass! Right now, I just get a lot of smiles and hugs from them.

Hola Krissy! Gracias por la bienvenida! (Hi Krissy! Thanks for the welcome!) The only way to learn Spanish is to submerge yourself into it. The good thing about Spanish though is that it is very phonetic and all letters of its alphbet have but one sound. Good luck in learning Spanish! Bye the way people who know two languages do things twice as nice. :D

I totally agree two languages are better than one. I am fully bilingual and that has never been failed to provide me with work and fun. You know the saying in Spanish: French is for romance. English is for business, but Spanish is for speaking to God.
;)
I don't know about that saying but, anyway. I never realized how important it was to speak more than one language until I left Eagle Pass. I guess, or maybe I just took it for granted. It has come in handy up here. It doesn't matter where I am at, there is always someone that can't speak English or someone who can't speak Spanish. I have volunteered myself to be the translator many times and my payment is always a HUGE smile and a thanks. It is so worth it.
Krissy, if you need help, just post it and I am sure someone will help. I know I will. :)

Some tips that I've come across to helping lose weight are the following:
have average portions and
not to eat until you're "stuffed",
physical activities, (fast walking is easier on the joints than running)
you can even do tummy tucks while chatting, watching TV, etc.
If you want, you can drink a glass of water before eating.
Don't go grocery shopping while you're starving (this will help eliminate a lot of junk food) if you go on a full stomach
I've also read that the color blue helps a person not feel hunger (I don't know about that one). But the source suggested of putting a blue light in the refrigerator.
I'm not a registered dietician or anything like that. These are only tips that I've come across. ;)
Hmmm...blue light in fridge..I should just paint everything blue. :)
