Hello Eagle Pass, ;)

While on a motorcycle tour, we plan to stay in Eagle Pass at the end of March.

In searching motels, I have noticed The Holly, and The Hillcrest on Main St. The dream Motel on Del Rio Blvd. :)

Is there anyone out there that has experienced these three motels lately. We are looking for Low cost, clean lodging for one night. Do you have a better place close to downtown that is clean and not too expensive.

I would really appreciate some input. Thanks in advance.

Ok, I thought I'd add my 2 cents worth even though I'm sure it's not the answer you are looking for.

We always stay at the new Holiday Inn Express, which is just north of the Holly Inn. Rooms are about $90/night, but they have a pretty good breakfast in the morning and we have had nothing but an excellent nights sleep. The rooms are quiet, clean, and very comfortable.

There is a Best Western also located in that vicinity. It looks like an OK place and they advertise a continental breakfast on the sign out front.

I know a 10-year-old kid from EP whose dad visits from Iowa once in awhile. They always stay at the Holly Inn. He seems to like the pool, but I am not sure of the room conditions. Looks like a typical traveler's motel.

My thought is that anything closer to downtown is going to be a bit more run-down, but that is just my opinion - no real proof or experience. I hope this helps! :D
