The Waco Police Department is taking applications for it new academy. I have worked for the Waco Police Dept. for 15 years and have enjoyed it. In 15 years I have worked in the Patrol Division, Drug Enforcement Unit, Neighborhood Services Section, Detective Division and now as a Patrol Supervisor for the midnight shift.

Police Recruit Annual Salary - $29,696 - earn an income while going through the academy
Police Officer Annual Salary - $35,316 to $46,771 (yearly step increase for 6 years)
Paid bi-weekly, work an 80-hours pay period
Additional Pay
Intermediate Certification or Associate Degree - $50 monthly
Advance Certification or Bachelors Degree - $100 monthly (College degree must be in a job-related field)
Shift Differential Pay: Officer who work a shift in which more than 50% of their assigned shift is worked after 6:00 p.m. and before 6:00 a.m. are eligible for differential pay.
Longevity Pay: Each full-time employee receives four (4) dollars per month for each year of service not to exceed 25 years.
Your are required to be a US citizenk and 21 years of age, have a high school diploma or have a GED, and have a clean record.
We work 10 hours shifts with 4 days on/ 3 days off. Every other month you have weekends off ( Friday, Saturday and Sunday)
