I heard the first day the xbox360 was out, there were a heck of a lot of fights for it! I mean, people went early to walmart with the intention of getting their hands on an xbox360, didn't matter how they got one, but they wanted one. To them, it didn't matter if they paid big bucks for one or beat someone up for it! What's the deal? Kids are seeing adults fighting for stupid things like toys, then we ask why we see so much juvenile violence!

I don't get it why so many people get all hyped about something new like a Game System or a new movie or the grand opening to a new restaurant or store.

I read about people staying up till midnight to get a Harry Potter Book or about people waiting in line to get a chance to see the midnight showing of Star Wars at the Movie Theater or about people going to the grand opening of the new Restaurant that is jammed packed.

There is enough of everything in this country to go around. The Xbox 360 might have gone off the shelves quicker then anyone could imagine but in a few months you can't help put notice how many there will be behind glass at Wal-Mart.

I'd totally stand in line at midnight to get the new Harry Potter book! But I always pre-order it and waiting around at a 24 hour Wal-Mart at midnight would probably be anti-climatic around here, I'd be the only one dressed up and it would be lonely.

I can see waiting in line, it's sort of like a community of like minded people camping out for the night.

This sort of thing can be fun if you have the time and nothing better to do.

On the other hand, fighting for it or paying stupid prices for things just to have them first is a bit silly in my opinion.

Good Point, I guess if you have the time and nothing better to do then more power to you I guess it can be exciting to be one of the first people to see or get what ever it is you want so bad.

As for fighting for something that is just ridiculous this happens every year especially after Thanksgiving and the rest of the holiday season. People are always fighting for the last Video Game or DVD Player or that "it" toy of the year. Pretty sad to see grown men/women fighting like little kids.
