What are your Easter plans this year? What are you cooking for the holiday? :)

hehe, seems like all EP is at the lake every Easter. I guess everyone down here has a carne asada, like always. Is there anything better than cooking outdoors, drinking beer, kids and the wifes playing, your brother in-law drinking since 8:00 AM, sister in-law late with the potatoe salad? Nope! priceless!
Ain't that the truth, BC.
I am hoping to be in EP for Easter, spending the holiday with my folks and family, helping my sister with the easter eggs and getting my brother to hide the "cascarones" for the nieces and nephews. Mmmm eating some "carne asada" I can just feel the joy of spending time in EP. :)
B C that was very funny, but true. When I lived there, about 10 years I remmember that people used to spend the night at the lake just to get a space for their celebration. I too like Mena would like to spend time there. Well you all take care and have a safe Easter carne azada. :P

Back in the 70s used to go to my grandparents ranch outside of Piedras Negras, toward Acuna. Play lotteria win prizes, casacarones, casacornes with flour, mud, or real eggs broken on your head. Many relatives getting together having fun. Watching a scared horse run fast by the ranch house, seeing my cousin and brother walking back after the horse had thrown them off. After my grandparents passing away, it has not been the same. Ya'll have a wonderful Easter, I will be working.

When I was younger we used to a ranch too. Now we just go to the lake and Have a carne asada. Hispanics do know to have a good. Para una fiesta nos pintamos solos.

Jorge de texas,
Wow, I enjoyed reading your vivid entry! I could just picture it in my mind--AND maybe I will do so on Easter because I, TOO, HAVE TO WORK! (I tried to put three sad faces here, but they didn't come out.)

North Texas is expecting fierce thunderstorms on Easter Sunday and little chisquis is camping with friends of ours. We have no solid plans other than going to church. The ONE fun thing will be giving flaco his Easter bounty. He gave up all peanut products for Lent so he is getting Reese's peanut butter candies, a huge can of roasted peanuts, peanut butter cookies, peanut butter crackers, and anything else I could come up with that had peanuts in it.

Texas Parks & Wildlife TV Program - Weekly schedule and show descriptions (https://webmail.dshs.state.tx.us/exchweb/bin/redir.asp?URL=http://service.govdelivery.com/service/view.html?code=TXPWD_118) for Texas Parks and Wildlife Department has recently been updated.
June 14–21, 2009
Program 1708-R — Originally Aired December 14–21, 2008
Volunteers work to reclaim a central Texas river; rod, reel and tackle primer; prehistoric tracks at San Angelo State Park; meet the man that saved Sundown Island; campfire songs.
Details
Reclaiming a River — See how some technical guidance and a lot of teamwork can transform an old mine site and mud pit along the Colorado River into an asset for a community and its wildlife.
Take Me Fishing: Basic Equipment Assembly — Don’t let the thousands of choices of fishing gear confuse you. Learn how to assemble a rod, reel and basic tackle.
San Angelo State Park — There is plenty to see and do at San Angelo State Park, even when the lake is low. Marvel at the tracks left by prehistoric visitors, or leave your own tracks by orienteering, mountain biking, or horseback riding.
Chester’s Island — Thanks to one tireless volunteer, work is underway to save the endangered Brown Pelican. The Audubon Society’s Chester Smith manages Sundown Island in Matagorda Bay. With some hard work and some helping hands, Sundown has become the primary nesting island in Texas for not only Pelicans but for seventeen other bird species. Meet the man who has helped bring the Pelicans back and see the spectacle of a nesting island in the spring.
Postcard From Texas — Boy Scout Jam(boyree); scouts play guitar around a campsite at Parrie Haynes Ranch.Stations and Air Times

Ok Pancho, I've gotta say this: 1. The fact that you post all over the place with no regard to the subject is annoying. 2. What was your point in this post? Are you going to write to the Texas Parks and Wildlife services? Do you want us to? What? You have a good idea: Cleaning up Elm Creek but so far you haven't said how you plan to get that done. A little clarity would go a long way.
And once again: get a myspace or something where people can check out your ideas for Elm Creek.

YOU're so right. The truth I'm just like you! I really don't know what I'm doing. I'm too far away to do anything. I should just leave it for those who are living there now. Maybe they see the need for change. I'm so sorry to make you feel like I could do some thing and that I could actually make things better for Elm Creek and surrounding areas. Soy Puro HOT AIR. I guess I'll just be here with you guys.
Maybe I should just criticize everyone who ads a post to EPonline. NO TE DIGO. I can only be like everyone else here. I have no money and no authority. Thanks for pointing out the truth. I was hoping I could make this poor lonely place a little bit more exciting and have something to write about. I was hoping to bring in new voices but I guess they got better things to do than us. They might be actually doing something about the miserable state of affairs in our little town. Oh well....
I shall remain here with all you guys...including Irenera. why not? You're the only ones who contribute here. It's just that I can't be as critical as you guys for fear I might turn some one off and chase them off. I guess the truth is, I can't even do what you guys do best.
Me mejor me voy. Soh Ree oh....So sorry. Saludes para todos. Including Evie...que no mas sale cuando le conviene...la pobre. Also, Say hello to Irener and wish her well. Y la ruca de por aya for Dallas, La Poet, I hope she continues to write good stuff about friends on the internet. alcavo que...Y la mas nueva, la de Mexico City, pos I will listen to her on the Radio...even if it's heavy metal and stuff like that. Alcavo La vida no vale nada.
Adios..

Well, thanks for believing in my project....even though some fools think I've never contributed anything to any cause or what have you.
Sorry I posted on the wrong Thread....So sorry...sorreeo! I had no clue we had some kinda rule....my reasoning sucks and I don't know what I was doing. I was hoping to get more idiots like me out to become involved but I can see the only onces here, are leaders who know what is best for everyone.
So SohRee, I wish you luck on your radio show....Bring it home. I mean, bring it to San Antonio and south TEXAS. If you havent done it already.
For those who really believe in my project and follow what I'm doing, you can write to me at mrtexas3851@sbcglobal.net
Everybody else can go to well....Don't need them. Sorry vasturds! They're just too smart for me. I'm just a Smurf.
Y tu....mi amigA con El Corazon de Eagle Pass, tu te avientas. Eres una ruca firme. Eres una rocher de primera!!! No te awites si los demas tan bien tapados. A si es la cosa in el Aguilon. Pura Raza loca. Son pocos pero locos and that is fine. To each his own. You and I know we have to live and let live. Ay te wacho en el Casino. Bless your little heart and hope you win.
dispensen/disculpen que I hurt you all's lil fillins by writing all over the place. I didn't mean to do it. But it was good getting you guys involved even if it was only for a few days. You all responded very well. Thank you.
