How much could I expect to pay for a one bedroom apartment in Eagle Pass? I've priced them in Del Rio and I want to compare.

I think Eagle Pass and Del Rio are almost alike.

I am a bit more familiar with Del Rio then Eagle Pass. Yet I am not sure since I don't live there. Yet I am guessing price range might be the same. Yet who knows every town is different. Del Rio and Eagle Pass are very a like thou. I guess a local can help you in that one. That is if anyone shows up. Very Slow forum.

It is slow. Maybe we can jump start the place. A good political discussion shouod get things moving.

I wonder what would happen if I called George W. Bush a chimp.

Well we are in an EP forum so we are close to the border what if we called Vicente Fox a chimp. That should get the fire started. :D

I don't know about him, but I don't think he is a smirking chimp like GWB. And I am sure he can talk right instead of like Bush does.

I wonder if we will get in trouble for posting about Bush in the apartment section. Maybe our post will disappear.

I wouldn't label Rapunzel a traitor after all Rapunzel is talking about a man that lied to his own people. Not to mention to his Troops that he has fighting over in Iraq. ;)

I would want one bedroom, a kitchen, living room, and dining area. I think a bathroom goes without saying. If not, I'm looking in the wrong town.

I would like TV cable and water to be provided. I prefer an all electric apartment. It has to include keeping it free of roaches and such. It has to be immaculate. I like an apartment complex with a pool. I also like to live in a very quiet area of town. If there happen to be some nice liberal people (especially men) living nearby, I would consider that a bonus.

I am willing to pay whatever it takes to get the apartment I want and not a penny more. :)

I have noticed that about Bush and also his supporters.

Rapunzel,

The Garden Hill apartments are nice, and there is a pool on the property.

Rapunzel,
I too have been searching for that perfect apartment. There is quiet a few actually.
A decent one bedroom, bath, kitchen, dining, will probably cost you between $350 to $450. Of course, I'm willing to pay a little extra if there are a few liberal women living nearby  .
you can probably find a cheaper one but you'll have to sacrifice location, condition and other little things.
lindac is right, garden hill apts are ok. I almost signed a lease there but didnt. I decided not to because the apt belonged to an ex smoker.
Good luck!

I decided not to because the apt belonged to an ex smoker.

Please explain. Why would that matter?

The only thing I could think of is why a person would not want an ex smokers apartment is because maybe if the apartment had carpet the smell of smoke could be penetrated on the carpet and will stay like that.

Yet you can always just get that steam clean.

The first thing I asked was "did this apartment belong to a smoker". "YES". I then asked "have you cleaned the carpet". "YES". "so why does it still smell like old cigars?" "I dont know" was the answer.
I dont smoke and I dont like the smell of smoke and I dont want to live where a smoker lived before. Maybe a good steam cleaning would have helped but maybe it wouldnt.

I misunderstood. I thought you objected to ex smokers, meaning people who stopped smoking.

I do understand your complaint about the smoke since I don't smoke and hate the smell of smoke.

I was checking into a hotel a few weeks ago. Without even asking me my preference, the person at the desk assumed I wanted a non smoking room. I wondered how she knew without asking. Then I realized that she probably did not smoke and she could tell that I didn't because she smelled no smoke on me.

I can smell a smoker a block away. It is not a pleasant smell. They might think they are covering up the smell or disguising it but they are not.
