Are there any liberals around this town? I think someone should start a club for liberals to get together and cuss the ultra conservatives.

I don’t think that I’m an “ultra conservatives” or a liberal, but I do know that I’m ultra bored. And as far as the ultra conservatives are concerned you don’t have to worry to much about them they are most likely watching their novelas or whatever they like to see. What we really need is more god damn verity in entertainment. And I’m not talking about more channels on fucking cable but a verity of activities. Books stores, CD Shops **I'm a dork** I know people are cheap here, maybe a dollar theater. God damn it why the **I'm a dork** am I even wasting my breath, fucking cultural wasteland.

I guess what Ramon was trying to say was for you to give us some of your liberal thoughts and views, and why people should not be at home watching novelas like the ultra conservatives. I myself don't like novelas, but do give us some insight as to what a real liberal is. And don't give me a book definition, just what you think. And hurry up cus my novela is starting in a min. Top of the list this year is wanting Bush defeated.

I am pro-union. I am I am against school vouchers. I am against faith-based organizations getting tax dollars. I am against lowering or abolishing capital gains tax, tax on dividends, estate tax, etc. I am against prayer and other religious stuff in public schools. I am in favor of college admissions policies that aim for diversity. I am in favor of the Constitution of the United states, especially the First Amendment.

Will that do to start?

That's a pretty good start..not sure if I could anything to that, I think we're on the same page

I was just asking on some of your beliefs because I don’t believe we can be too much of any because then I think we’d have a problem on our hands. (Just because the majority think its right, doesn’t make it right.) But now I see what you have in mind. If I were in town I’d be all for it, I believe in most of what you say, I just think there should be clubs like this in Eagle Pass so that it would be a better place to live since I hope to come back there some day soon.

I didn't plan to talk politics at the club meetings. I just wanted to hang around with liberals. You can't be too careful. :P

I'd say I'm 'middle of the road', but I do tend to lean towards the left more often. They are just certain things I agree with on both ends of the spectrum.

How many are actually paying attention to this?

There are African Americans, Mexican Americans,
