Wow that must be great for you guys to be getting so much publicity.
During football season this past year we had ESPN here in San Marcos for a full month televising our game. A while back they filmed some movie here (they also filmed The Ringer here. The Special Olympics scenes were filmed at the football stadium. I believe Mike Leavy (?) was the anchor who welcomes everybody "Welcome everyone to Bobcat Stadium in beautiful San Marcos, Texas"). MTV was also here a while back...they filmed a couple of episode of Room Raiders which I happen to catch every other night and when I went home this past weekend, I turned onto the access road to get on I-35 and the bus for Girls Gone Wild was parked at a gas station. What they were doing here, if infact they were here other than as a pit stop, I have no idea. I did however pull over and take a picture of the bus :D

It's too bad EP can't get any national publicity like Del Rio.

As far as I am concerned you can have it. The last thing I want is some brainless MTV b.s. reality show here. Ii wish they would just go away. The intelligence level here gets low enough already at times. The last thing we need is to have MTV contribute.

I don't see your point as long as you are not running for a pageant then you have nothing to worry about MTV bothering you in anyway.
I think it's great the MTV will be filming a reality show in Del Rio it gives something the young folks in Del Rio can be proud of.

Beauty pageants are a joke around here, IMHO. There's one for EVERYTHING. I'm surprised there isn't a Miss Taco.

Shows like this do nothing more than fry brain cells. It is a sign of what our culture has become and where it is headed. You're welcome to it....

I couldn't agree more. They are the "new" addiction, and this is what our culture has come to. So sad.

Wouldn't Forum posting also be an addiction? Instead of us sitting down in front of a computer arguing with someone we don't know we could be out doing better things.
Of course I don't have a problem with Forum posting neither do I have a problem with pageants.

I guess it just depends on how old you are, the older you get the less interested you are in watching shows geared towards teenagers. We were all young once people!

I guess I didnt make my point clear enugh. I was actually defending the MTV'ers I watch the "smut" on TV sometimes. Sometimes they have interesting subjects on the "Real Life" series. One time they followed three people that were moving to New York. Another time they had people that supposedly had OCD and another one was about guys that are on steriods, so sometimes they have interesting subjects. American Bandstand, I saw that show maybe once or twice when I was a young kid but I dont think I'm old enough to comment on it because that was probably more popular before my time, hey I'm older but not ancient, I've been thirty two for the last two years!!:D i'm not keeping track anymore!

I understood your comment! ;)
I'm a MTV viewer and compared to what other channels show MTV can really relate to us young folks while other channels are concentrating on older viewers. It's call "True" Life I like that show. I saw the OCD one great episode. My brother thought I had that since sometimes I have doubts about whether I locked the door or not. But I don't compared to those people I'm really normal. :D

I love watching True Life, one of the best programs on MTV. It's awesome that they chose Del Rio to film an episode in, our region is finally receiving much needed attention! I'm currently studying the field of media technology and production; hopefully one day I'll be working for MTV myself. :P Anyways, when will they film and/or air this episode?
