Yes, I think that maybe the political party PAN is in cahoots with the Mexican and/or United States government.
Yes, I think the elections are rigged, but I am not sure who is involved.
Yes, I think the United States government has something to do with the election results.
Yes, I think the globalists have a lot of clout in Mexican government.
No, I do not think the elections are rigged.
No, but I think the Mexican "people", not so much PRD supporters have a right to find out the truth about the election results.

I'll work off of memory here. Yes, they are rigged and they are in cahoots with more than one government....the all mighty dollar is at the core of their problems. Historically the Mexican government has been one that could be bought with just a promise regardless of what's delivered.

Hey, Zunzune do you think the people of Mexico have a legitimate right to be upset about the election results because they know that the results are rigged. And, isn't mysterious that the news media here does not give it very much coverage. I think it's an extremely newsworthy event.

J3, they have every right to be upset and yes they do know they are rigged but once again, their oppression is a result of many of them allowing themselves to be bought. Once a person's been bribed and has taken bribes, it's kind of hard to speak out. It's that ignorance is bliss thing. You're right too about it being a newsworthy event but as is the case almost everywhere, the important things get swept under the rug while the private lives of celebrities are broadcast for all to see.
Now for all of you that might think that this is fodder for the fire, it's not. It's a sad fact of life in Mexico and in other countries as well. Just ask the Maestro.
Those elections have always been rigged and bribes well what can I say. Even the piones off the streets get bribes why shouldn't the top knotches. The rich get richer and the poor get poorer!:(

Either way it equals dirt. You're either dirt poor or you're filthy rich. So sad.:(
Wouldn't mind being filthy rich!!!;)

Hey Chiefbeancaffeine....You've made no comments about the re-count taking in Mexico. What's your take on the situation? Give us your two-cents worth.
I don't know that the Mex. gov't has ever been honest about things along with many other.

And when are elections NEVER rigged? I wish fellow US citizens would have felt the same concern as the Mexicans after the 2004 election! In Mexico and the Ukraine the people protested. What did the people in the US do after their own elections? ;-( ;-( ;-(

Maestro, elections are almost always rigged. In the US many of our protests fall on deaf ears especially because they involve money. We can protest until we're blue in the face but if there's money involved, we go unheard.

Yeah, you're right. It's the harsh reality of life in this country. Sad, isn't it?
It is NOT only this country but, every country who has a human being running it, that is why their leader is not broke!!! Take a look at every poor country and look at their leaders bank account.

Yeah, but change initiated by the people and for the people CAN happen. I take my inspiration from the Ukraine's example. Those guys did something about their rigged election.
But as Zunzune said, something like this is unlikely to happen in the US.

Why should the American People care what is happening in Mexico Politics? We know what we can expect from Mexico with any president they elect; Drugs, Immigrants and Cheap Labor.
Besides their is much more newsworthy events happening around the war. Like the Iran Nuclear Program, The Israel War in Lebanon, The War in Iraq etc.

How can the election be rigged? Do you have proof? Not even the sore loser himself whatever his dictator name is doesn't have proof.
Mexico should be thankful that Calderon won if not Mexico would be another Cuba right about now.

Well, in America anyone can run for office no matter how much you have in your bank account. :D
Most Country Leader's are Rich not just poor countries.
It's all about how well educated the person is. Should we blame the rich for being rich? Should we be jelous of them because they have more money than us? Perhaps they are rich because they worked hard for what they have they studied hard and where determined to become someone in life. Unlike so other people that want nothing but free handouts and sit around the house all day watching TV.

While there are more newsworthy events taking place in the world, the relationship of the US with Mexico is just as important if not as newsworthy. There are over 1900 miles of the US that border Mexico and a Mexico that is stable, democratic and economically growing is fundamental to the US because of the impact it all has on the lives of Americans. The impact is directly related to trade, homeland security, drug control and the most important-migration. Additionally, there is the development of NAFTA. The US buys about 85% of Mexico's exports ranging from petroleum to cars to electronic equipment. There are over half a million American citizens living in Mexico and over 3000 American companies in Mexico not to mention the million or so Mexicans living in the United States. The relation we maintain with Mexico is critical to combating terrorism (terrorists DO come in from Mexico too!) and also controls the drug flow into the US.....these are just a few reasons why it is important that the person elected into office is one whose integrity can be counted on.
As far as the financial accountability of any elected official....well there's fodder for this fire! It's not about their education, their upbringing or how hard they work....it is a matter of the rich getting richer and filling the coffers of their buddies. They may start off honest, but few of them stay that way!
I'll get off my box here. :)

Yet, what does Mexico Politics have do with the United States? No matter what advice the United States gives Mexico they will not listen to us so it all falls on deaf ears.
Canada is also an important country to the United States and shares more Border with the United States than Mexico. Yet, we didn't have the U.S. Media going all wild when they discovered that terrorist group plot in Canada.
If you want to know more about the Mexico Election watch the Mexician News on Telemundo or Univision or whatever station you get that is in Spanish where ever you live.

It's all politics no matter how it's shaded. Yes, Canada is important but Canada does not rely solely on the US for it livelihood as does much of Mexico. The media went all "wild" here over election results because there are many more Mexicans than Canadians living in the United States. We don't see 5 or 10 or 20 Canadian radio and television stations here, do we?
How many of them are aimed at Mexicans?
I'm more interested in the upcoming elections in the United States than in Mexico's results at this time. I do however occasionally watch the news on a Spanish broadcast station to keep abreast of what is happening.

Kudos to them rich people who earned their money through their own efforts.
Let us not overlook the rich people who are rich because they were born into such family. Many of them don't know what it means to work hard. Just look at W. Daddy's boy got to be president because daddy was president. He didn't even know what war was like by escaping to Alabama's National Guard. But let's not get into Bush bashing. That's beside the point.
It just angers me that people like that can be given so much power.
BTW, have you guys seen the Green Mile with Tom Hanks? Remeber the young rich prison guard who is the governor's nephew? He actually reminds me of W Bush. He gets placed into the prison guard job at death row only because he asked his uncle to place him there. Once at the job he was totally unqualified for it. He didn't have a clue what to do and he even peed in his pants because one prisoner gave him a good scare. That's the equivalent of Bush as President of the United States.

Maestro, The Green Mile was very good. I read the book before I saw the movie and actually enjoyed both. Your analogy is accurate. I find it refreshing that there are people like yourself who express their opinions without resorting to bashing. Thanks!

Well, some people are born into wealth. Yet, it doesn't mean we have to hate on them because they where born with a silver spoon in their mouth. Should we hate the people born into proverty? No!
George W. Bush on the other hand might not be the best person to have been elected for President but what can we do the Majority of the people in this country think he is why else did he get re-elected?
I have seen the Green Mile and I believe the guys name was Percy who got the Job because of his Uncle. Yet, we can't compare that to George W. Bush because it wasn't like Little Georgie got to become President because his Dad handed down the Thrown to him.
