people have to understand that erecting a wall across the border is not the solution. as it is, mexican immigrants cross the desert and risk their lives...this would just be another risk that they would take, and an even more dangerous one at that. i understand that the immigrant influx in eagle pass is making things hard for the town because as it is there are not many jobs that the mainstream working-class citizen can work at, but that is not something that immigrants should be blamed for, because many, if not all, end up going up further north to places like san antonio, austin, houston, dallas, etc.

that's just my 2 cents...and as long as our politicians and representatives are not held responsible for the actions that they're taking up at capitol hill, then you better believe that i will be questioning their motives for creating an obvious racist and bigotted decision towards their own comrades.

I really don't care either way, but I've heard Mexico has a fence on their southern border to keep out all the Central and South Americans. So why can Mexico have a fence and the US can't? Isn't Mexico being hypocritical?

The old adage "good fences make good neighbors" does not apply here. In this case, fences are meant to be torn down.
I vehemently oppose the wall and fear the problems it will bring.

Did you know that polio has made a comeback? Along with TB? Illegal AND legal immigrants come in carrying foreign diseases and are putting our country at risk for an epidemic. Dengue and malaria cases have gone up also.

But back to the topic, build the wall. Discourage them. It wont stop them but it'll make it more difficult to come in...

It's a terrible waste of money. I doubt it would do much to curb the influx of illegals.
