Bring Back Maqinitas(Casinitos)

There is nothing wrong with hiring outside help, if you can't find local experience (for whatever reason). So your saying the Maquinitas were paying high wages to there employees? or were they paying politicians under the table so that they could stay open......

Minimum wage is ok, its a steping stone for kids while in school. If they were to pay 9 or 10 dollars an hr. who wants to go to college. Kids think 7 or 8 dollars an hrs is alot of money. Remember young kids don't know until they get their first check to fine out how much the gov, takes out.
As an adult, min wage you cannot pay rent,or house note, car payments, food, utilities, medical bills and ect. As you have seen it, Americans don't want to work for minimum wage so people from other countries take thoes jobs. They live with 6 or more persons in one appartment or house. they make it, and they are good savers cus later they buy land and build their own houses or buy their own house. Now the Americans become lazy, and live out of the system. Why work for minimum wage, I shall ask and will tell, minimum wage will make you smart to try to get a step higher and that is more school. Everybody starts some where, its very luck for a person to start making alot of money with no school or training back ground. I got a call from a will be student, she said, I want to study something where I make alot of money. She said I want to work with money, but I want to see the money and touch it. My question was how many years do you want to go to college, she said 6 months to a year. All I could think but I didn't say it, "girl for that all you have to do is get a job in McD and you don't have to go to college, just to feel, touch and smell the money, but in getting rich in 6 months keep on dreaming. I try to explain to her about a 4yr degree in Business and she did not get it. Oh, well I hope she fines something for 6 months and get rich. We all want to know:)

Mena, I seen people work hard on two jobs, but you got to understand most jobs do not give you 40hrs job because then they have to pay benfits. So the person works part time in one job and part time on another job and still do not make it and have to go through the system. But what I see on hispanics is that they have alot of children. I am a great beliver that women only have the children that a person can affort. Don't count on a man for support, he might die or end up on a divorce. the poorest people in the USA is women and children. I have heard alot of hispanic women saying oh, my husband wants another child, he wants 8 or 12 childen so here i am pg again, I see a big "P" on their forhead. A marriage is not guarantee, the only guarantee is death.

I don't know about welfare being good, but I cann't understand why live like that. What labor pains. I am one of the lucky ones that never got morrning sickness nor labor pains. would you belive I was only pregnant for 3 months with my son. I didn't know I was pregnant, I was taking BC and was normal every month. My normal weight was 100 pounds gain 5 pounds. My mother said I just had gas.:D My daughter I almost had her here at the office if it wasn't that I had an appointment that morring. I went for my check up and I had her there at Ft Sam Hospital. Both of them were 2 wks early. I have always being very active, GYM and running. My mom use to say, oh, you can half a doz.

I was lucky to have labor pains even with epidural:rolleyes: .

I was also lucky to notice I was pregnant right away because it was a planned pregnancy. I don't remember having much of a morning sickness. Although, ones out of the blue the smell of coffee made me sick one morning. That was the first and only time it made me sick. Figure that one out.

My daughter was not early, actually late and still runs that way.:D The first month I gained 10lbs and the doctor was not happy. I quit eating like an oink, oink and ate healthy the rest of the way (not even caffeine). I probably gained 15 lbs although the doctors goal was for me not to gain more than 10lb. Oh well...My healthy weight was never 100lbs and it is still not my goal.

Six is too much for me. Even two was hard. Private school, college education, way over my head. We pay cash for college education, we were in potatos and beans for a awhile.

I grew up in a big family we are 8. We had nothing and we got noting cus our parents couldn't afford any extras for us. We had to do it in our own.

the other day my son told me he wants to go back to college, I told him well, its your turn, you pay your own way now, before when I pay you play around and did noting, now I have no money to give or throw away. I gave my children that opportunity and my husband and I pay for it. :(

My son was not plan, since I was taking the BC. My daughter was plan but it took us 3yrs. since husband was away in the military and everytime he will come on leave my family was visting and staying in my home. So what one of my sister did instead of them staying at the hotel, they sent us to the hotel and they stay at my house, since 2 sis and their husbands and my mom and dad they all came in at the same time. Sometimes I use to call them and tell them don't vist this days cus husband is comeing home on leave.:p You must be tall, I am just 5'1" and have to have a weight control. I can't carry too much weight because of my hight. If I gain some weight more than what I can carry, I can feel it. Mostly in the morning when I put my foot on the floor, I feel the weight and pain from my feet all the way up. When my weight is lower, I don't feel it. I feel with more energy. I like to feel with lots of energy cus I am always doing something in the house.

I agree with you. Another thing how can they say you are over weight according to your waist measurements. I have a coworker who has a small waist and her big behind train and settle bags that you can hold a cup of coffee on her big train. We even try it. I put a cup of coffee and she could walk with it, ofcourse she spill some since everything else moves.:D A person my age weighting at 100-105 is way off. Maybe on a young kid with the same hight, but than I still say is too low of a weight.

In México grade school and secondary school (grades 7th to 9th) are completly free. Preparatoria (10 thru 12th) is almost free and if you get into the Unam system the quota you pay every year is ridiculously low. The problem is that many families need their kids to work so that the family can survive, especially in rural areas. Another problem is that universities here do not have dorms (which has it's good side). So if you are not from the city where the university is it's hard sometimes to find low cost housing. But many very poor families motivate their kids to keep studying because a university degree is considered almost a badge of honor for the family. Because education is still valued, kids, even inner city kids, are mostly quite respectful to teachers. Parents will not tolerate otherwise.
