Some young gals Marshyal (SP) Calderon, Alicia Flores (Rogelio Flores x-major's daughter).
The only place La Flaca should be running is to the Gay Bar's in Piedras.:D

This doesn't have to do with elections, but have any of you ever been on a jury and gone the full course of a trial?

I have, it was a rape case. I had him guilty from the get go. But on evidence, only that he was Hispanic and smell like Brut. He was doing his early morning run which he will do every morning . And since he was running and the rape was a few blocks away, they got him for rape. Boy did I had to argue. If he was guilty show me prove, no DNA, no evidence at all.

This other case, was interested. I got a ticket in San Marcos, I went for not gulity. So I had to wait for my hearing on my case. Mean while I was listening to all other cases.

This young guy around 19yrs old. He was a student Texas State Unversity. He got drunk and hit the fire alarm at the dorm as a joke. Students panic and started running out the dorm and jumping windows. He was not US Citizen, he was from Honduras and came to US since he was 7yrs old. He was given 5yrs in prison and when he gets out he will be deported. If he ever gets cought in UA he will spent the rest of 15 in prison. Mama miya, I feel for the young guy, he was so sad, he was full time in college and was carrying a 4.0 average. He mass up his life, just by acting a fool.

I read on the alumni website that the sports complex bond passed by a pretty big margin. Why all the hoopla? Who among our illustrious members voted?

I didn't have an opportunity to vote but I'm glad to see that Eagle Pass is taking a step forward on this. In all honesty our current "athletic complex" is a joke. I, as well as those that voted for the bond, am ashamed that's the best we have to offer to the children of Eagle Pass. Even when I played on that field I was embarassed, I can just imagine how my sister feels now that she's using it as well. It's been 70 years, the change was much needed. With this new complex, we're now in the mix with Laredo and San Antonio to host a couple of playoff games, track and field meets, baseball/softball, soccer games etc. which leads to an increase in tourism. Now all of a sudden, you have people coming to Eagle Pass and spending money. The city of Eagle Pass will reap the benefits within the first year it opens.

I heard that the bond itself was not really needed to construct the athletic complex. Several sources from Eagle Pass have mentioned that indeed the EPISD has loads of money stockpiled (about $15-20 million) and they only wanted to pass this bond to screw the taxpapers with higher taxes and for the top people to get richer.

There were concerns about the valuation of the complex. For example, the concession stands were projected to cost around at least $500,000, which is way more than some of the most luxurious houses in EP.

Even though I am for the sports complex, I myself would have voted against the bond itself because it is unnecessary.

I've been reading on the whole Starnes thing in Eagle Pass. How is it that the city did not perform the necessary background checks on a prospective employee. Did they see the results and choose to ignore them? The news made it as far as KEOM, the Mesquite Schools radio station in Mesquite, Texas. Who is responsible for the hiring process? He**, I hire and can tell you I have to be thorough. My job and your safety depend on it.

I'm truly disappointed in the outcome of the Sheriffs elections, I find it hard to believe Herrera and Rios beat Schmerber. So now we have to pick the better of two evils, there will probably be a very low show of voters for the run-off. I predict 250 voters are going to decide who our next sheriff will be.

Did everyone see the recount fiasco, on TV, you would have thought that Selena was in charge, while Ruiz took a pounding from all sides. It was so comical especially when Trujillo started fielding questions. What a show, Comedy Capers all over.

Also Precinct 1 Commissioners Eliaz Maldonado and Gerardo Morales (daddy's footing the election bill here). These two have been slugging it out all over the news.:D

And Priceint's 3 Saucedo and Farias going at each other Jugulars. No Quarter will be taken here.:D

Right now it's at candidates calling each other liars, corrupt and slinging all the junk that they can dig. The EP News Media if you can classify them as such are even more corrupt they will print what you want as long as you pay for it in Dollars. Trujillo is the biggest Media BOZO I have ever seen/heard in my life, that includes all the clowns that work for that TV station. The printed newspapers are so biased that i quit reading them, they are good for sliding them at the bottom of a bird cage to catch all the bird droppings. I will post the results in the AM and someone have mercy on the citizens of EP after the elections, they will need it.
