These people are so evil that it ain't even funny. You could even compare them to satan. They were unfortunately instrumental into the rejection into the much needed bonds that were voted on June 5. Had Eagle Pass had passed this bond, it could have been a new begining for EP. Our children would have had world class facilities to learn in and we could've taken pride in world class athletics facilities. A new boom in construction could've started and Eagle Pass might have finally brought in better doctors, teachers, you name it. Many of the poor people who voted against the bond could have actually benifitted the most with a better paying job that could have come as a result of the passage of the bonds. For those of you who voted against the bonds, please don't tell me that you voted against the bonds because you felt sorry for the poor people. You voted against it because of personal vendettas against the district and those who work for the district. It's sad that two idiots such as communist pigs Gutierrez and Diaz can manipulate EP because of their own vendettas. I think Del Rio will enjoy the 12 million dollars we gave to them.

I agree with Cedric. The kids of Eagle Pass are really missing out because of a few selfish individuals. We must, as a community, make that sacrifice to improve the quality of life in Eagle Pass. I don't care if you're rich or poor, everyone must make their sacrifice of paying higher taxes to improve the quality of life here.

Why did you choose that name? I guess you are a die hard Longhorns fan.
Not only poor people voted against the bond. Gutierrez and Diaz are great people because they are the Troubleshooters of Eagle Pass. They uncover the things that are going wrong in this community. i want to congratulate them on a job well done.

Alacran,

Gutierrez and Diaz are a bunch of miserable people who don't care about anyone else but themselves. I have personally meet these people and they are nothing but trash. By the way, don't you want the best for your community? The bonds would have actually benifitted the poor people more than the rich and middle class. It could have actully brought them jobs with the chain reaction effect the bonds would have created. The children of the poor people also would have gotten better educational opportunities. The potential athletics facilities could have been a source of pride for the entire community. We could've brought in a lot more money making events such as baseball tournaments, football tournaments, or track meets. But because of ignorant people like Guti and Diaz we won't get those wonderful facilities in the near future.

I can't believe my old hometown! Things never seem to change in EP! I know that cities like Laredo and Del Rio must be laughing their heads off at EP. Hey, those 2 cities also have many poor people but those poor people want THE BEST for their children so they are progressive in those cities. Del Rio must really enjoy the 12 million bucks EP gave to them. I know in Austin that we want our city to be the best so we approve of almost every positive bond on the ballot. Everyone must make a sacrifice (poor or rich) in order to be for their community to be at it's best.

Actually, a communist would have voted for the bonds IF communists voted. I'm on the pro-bond side of course, but if you are going to make ad hominum attacks, accuracy might better support your point.

By the way, I'm more of a socialist. I find communism rather defeatist. I wouldn't even be voting for Kerry if I didn't fear for my life in New York under four more years of Bush.

This is a beanbag community...you just cant expect much progress. In other words, in the words of your soccer-fan generation "no se puede! no se puede!".

Did the community do anything in educating the Public as to why the School District wanted to pass the Bond?

Well, we might not be laughing our heads off but we sure are glad EP gave DR 12 Million. Thanks to EP Del Rio School's are looking better than ever. Plus with a New Bond that Passed in Del Rio it would allow the school district to build a new school and upgrade and add on to all other schools and plus remodel and add on to the school district historic San Felipe High School.

Your right Eldude. The there are poor and rich people in Del Rio but if we want the best the people in these towns must be willing to pay a bit more in taxes for our children could have the best.
