hey guys what do you guys think about the walmart they going to build across the border you think it will hurt the Eagle Pass stores or will it make traffic better down Bibb street since they taking forever to finish it

:rolleyes: First of all, I dont mind people from Piedras... Same thing happened with McD's. We thought hey, theyll have their own McD's now down there, we wont have that much **I'm a dork** to clean up here... But that didnt help, people from piedras keep coming down to EP, just to get outta MEXICO... for what reasons? I have no clue, but them having a Walmart down there will prolly slow down the Sales here for a month or two, but it will get back to what it is now...

Does anyone know where they will be building the Walmart? is it by SORIANA? if it is.. its a good area due to that its the center of PIEDRAS and all the people down toward the Villita wont be too far from it, and they will get a taste of what walmart is like.!

BTW... There is a new store by Soriana... its like WALMART, but NOT walmart... I havent been inside YET, but from the local reviews, I heard its like walmart... It opened its doors on Friday I beleive... Will check it out...

Interesting, depending on the prices this could be good for Piedras and bad for the EP economy.

I have cousin in monterrey. He says the walmart over there does not have as many name brand products as the walmarts over here in the US. Dont know what items though.
As far as hurting the economy, I dont think so. Piedras is just one of many cities that commute over to our walmart, and like somone posted earlier, some people just want get out of town.
