I've heard rumors that Laredo might get a water park by 2006. The rumor was that it would be another Schlittbahn. This would be great for Eagle Pass, because of the close proximity to Laredo.

If its true, keep in mind the water for Laredo's Schliterbahn will be Eagle Pass's sewage!

Dude, (sorry i'm running late on this response)
Don't be so mean.......
For sure they will clean it up...................................
Dude...oooh
But that's cool, for me anyway....going to Laredo was always like going to a foreign country. I never did like to leave home "to go there?"....Like MENA says "What a turn off!"
If I'm going somewhere, I'd rather go to San Antonio and that......
Peace

You're kidding me, right? You know I heard about that so called "rumor" 10 years ago?? If anything, perhaps the paperwork resurfaced and they're reconsidering the idea.
By the way, Laredo is a nice place, bustling economy, and a relatively good university (I know, I was there). In my opinion it's kind of insulting to say you wouldn't go there or live there simply because it's "faster-paced" or because it's a "foreign country" in this case. Newsflash buddy, most places outside of EP will seem quite foreign in concept, more so with SA even, simply because our town/city is one of most unique communities (i.e. it's quite sheltered) in the state. Ironically enough, it's actually how most cities conduct themselves, so our town is the oddball, not theirs. This is neither a good nor a bad thing, but simply a statement of fact.
