I got that error too. It does let you post stuff so just ignore it. Lightwav is working on it, that is why you see "test". It has to do with letting you know someone made a new post.

Well thanks for letting me know... I hope the problem does get fixed, Ive noticed alot of people stop entering mesages... hope they didnt get impatient...

It might take a day or so, for Lightwav to get a chance to look at the problem. He co-owns a successful business and is also a real estate agent, so he is pretty busy. Thanks for your patience.

Hey, Rene. I like what you did with your website. Where did you find the map? :)

Krissy

Hey Rene,

Is it possible for a person to cut their own hair and have it look half-way normal? I am in the middle of a hair crisis! :o

Rene
01-25-2004, 09:48 PM
Honestly, anything is possible << should be the attitude, but I dont recommend it.. I myself have been there, done that, cutting my own hair but thats because, I dont trust just anyone with my hair... I only have ONE person i trust with it... and right now he is on a trip to California for a Hair Show or something or other...

But thats just me... Im not sure where U are located and how much it would be... in price wise... But there is no need to go into an expensive place, coz most of the time, they are charging that much because to keep the salon in shape, and paying for all those expensive products... Find your self a good Super Cuts or Master Cuts, those are not bad places at all... If u care, go by one of those salons and check it out before u even get a hair cut, just so u see what kinda results people are getting.

HOpe this has helped.

mena
01-26-2004, 12:47 AM
I personally like to go to ProCuts because they are one of the companies that participate with the "Locks of Love". www.locksoflove.org I have donated 10 inches of my hair to them. :)

Rene

I felt I lost like 10lbs when I got my haircut. My hair is very heavy. It kind of feels funny to know that a little girl or boy is wearing my hair. I might just do it again.

Thanks for your kind words Rene but, it is the least I can do for those kids. They just go thru so much.

Rene,

Thanks for the advice - my regular girl can't get me in until next week. I was sitting around the house one Saturday and decided to cut 10" off my hair so I had bangs (which I hadn't had since the big hair days of the 90s)! It was fine for the day, but I decided it looked kind of like the beginnings of a "mullet" the next day! YUK! :o I want to do some layering - fast! Our town is rather small and does have a Cost Cutters, but they have done some dandy cuts on me before. Just to get by, I simply combed all my hair forward and cut it off at an angle around my face. This has worked so far, but, man, what a crisis!!

I hope everyone is having a great hair day!

Gracias! :) :) :)

Rene
03-24-2004, 12:17 AM
Sorry guys, hadnt been online for over two months... I hope all is having a great hair day!

Linda, depending on where u go, if in Piedras, for a haircut and highlights, shouldnt run over 30.00 - 35.00 USD... if its more, honestly, is over charged... Pedicure and Manicure, as well depending on where u go... should be around 20.00 USD...

BTW, for those of u who like to email me... my new email is socolor@awesomenet.net

Rene,

Thanks for the info! I love your website! I am thinking about getting highlights. I have never dyed my hair (and I've never had to--no gray), but my hair is dark black. It is too long and I'm ready to chop it  ALL OFF myself--but then I read your advice against cutting your own hair. I may stop by your salon some day---I will let you know. Do you have a person there who does the color?

Have a good one,
LC

Rene
04-05-2004, 01:28 AM
LC, consider this advice from a FRIEND... VIRGIN hair is SACRED!!!! lol... once u start dying/coloring, hi-lighting, you will never stop!!! its addicting... As for any color/perm/lights or whatever done to ur hair, you have to understand you will have to maintain it from there on... on a monthly basis for colors, for highlights, every two months, and perms, honestly, i dont recommend, its totally outta date!

I do home calls if you ever need... we can discuss color/lights, whatever, and we can take care of that, to save you a trip to Piedras! For dark hair, it all depends how bad u want the change, how noticeable, in other words.. you can go with soft ash lights, or red lights... For all over color, its recommended to stay under FOUR lighter shades.... BLONDE is outta the question, unless u want to run the risk of killing your hair. Feel free to ask question, or talk to me... Im here to help...

Rene,
:o Oh, no, Let me rinse out the bleach! :o :o  Just kidding! :D :D :D I haven't opened the Clorox yet. I guess I just go through those moods when I want to change and then I do something drastic. One time I went to JC Penney and closed my eyes and said do whatever---the lady had just moved from a little country town and told me a long story about her daughter being murdered by her boyfriend 2 weeks earlier, sob, sob, sob, etc. When I opened my eyes I HAD A BONAFIDE BEEHIVE THAT WOULD HAVE DONE THE B-52'S PROUD! She was so happy, I was her 1st customer in the Big City, I didn't have the heart to complain. It didn't go to well with my grungy cowboy boots, but oh well.

I have many such stories. Next time I will either tell you about the scandal with my Fu Manchu perm, or the surprise style I got from another person at JC Penney (my last vist there)

Muchisimas Gracias, Rene! :)
