View Full Version : Ghost Stories!
Well if you dont mind, I like to share a story with you all. This happened back in late 80's when I was still a youngen. My dad, a fun dad, would always try and Scare us ( my bro and I) when we would stay up late. One time, my bro and I were invited to this special activity at nite. After that, we came home, was prolly like 11pm or so. We walked in together, past the living area, past the Tv/Game room, as we passed the kitchen door, we heard a Growling behind the door, and as always, we just assumed it was Dad trying to scare us. So we both looked at each other and shook our heads... like whatever dad! We went my our parents room to let momma know we were home, we knocked, open the door, and both mom and dad were asleep in bed. So who was in the Kitchen growling at us... We never looked... and off two our rooms we went! We discussed it in the morning with the parents, and they thought we were joking. Who's to say?
I have more real stories like that... but, I am in a lil hurry, if u like, let me know... Ill share!.
I do have more of these experiences, but its a lil too late at nite to tell you about them, I wont be able to sleep... Join in the fun and share with us... Ill make sure and write you more in the morning!

hmmm, kind of the same thing happened to me. Its was the 80's. I was going to baby sit for my sister that night. When I got to her apartment, I opened the door and called out "anybody home", I heard my niece call out "in here". So I walked over to the room where I thought the voice came from. But when I got there, there was nobody there but her dolls/stuffed animals and stuff. I then went to the other bedroom and nobody was there either. I kind of got the chills :o at that point and walked out the apartment and finally encountered my sister in the parking lot. Of course I didnt share this story with anyone until quite a few years had passed.

oooo.. I like stories.....
I was working in my office one day after hours and I heard books hitting the floor. The noise came from an office tht was emtpy. You better believe me I didn't stay alone after that.
In another occasion another co-worker and myself heard shuffling papers coming from that same room. It was pretty funny we both managed to turn off all the lights and left the buidling.
I better stop this I'm alone in the house .....uyyy.. cucuy...

Wow! your a brave one beatrice but then again, they do say that women are braver than men. I mean, in all the scary movies, theres always a girl walking in a dark house opening doors left and right. And whats the first thing that comes to our minds, "what the heck is she doing" "get the hell out there".
I remember well this incident that happened to me in the year 2000. I was living in San Antonio. It was past 10pm, and I was online chatting in some local chat rooms. My roommate left to work, she was doing the graveyard shift.
I was upstairs in my office when she left, and well I didnt want to stop the chat right there and then til I got my point across, finally, I said, I better lock the Door, I am in San Antonio, and anyone can walk in and me being upstairs I wouldnt be able to hear.
I walked downstairs, and I have this habbit of looking out the Peephole everytime I either close the door or lock just to see if I see anything going on outside, just incase something happens and someone needs witnesses, lol. Bien LICHO! lol. When I looked out the Peephole, i swear i saw something just fly by, something dark and quick. But I was more like, its prolly my imagination... As i walked back upstairs, I was like.. hmm what if it wasnt my imagination. Anyways, I got back to chatting.
Late that night, I got tired, and decided to head to bed. I was sooo tired, I went to my bedroom, and outta habbit, I locked the bedroom door, and off to bed. In the middle of my laying there, tired and half asleep, I could hear this heavy exercise equipment that leaned against the wall slide down making a scratching noise as it headed to the floor. I was soo tired to even think I was scared and after that, I heard someone walking in the room, kicking off stuck around as if someone walking in the dark and not seeing a thing on the floor. All I could think to myself was, Im too tired to even open my eyes to look at whats going on in my room. I must have feel asleep and finally woke up in the morning around 5am.. I was cold, and I could hear the rain... I didnt know where the coldness was coming from. I sat up and saw that my door was opened. I looked at the clock and it was a few til 6am... so I figured, maybe my roommate just got home from work but something was not right... it was too early for her to be home.
Then I thought to myself.. how the F. did my door open? It was locked. I walked out of my room and I could just feel the coldness and I could hear the rain louder than before. I walked downstairs and the Door was open and it was raining hard the carpet was getting wet.
I was trying to look for an explanation, only think I could think of was, my roommate prolly came in and didnt close the door. So I walked back upstairs to her bedroom, her bed was intact, no one had been there...
I sat up in the living room, just trying to figure all this out, then the door opened and my roommate came in and asked what I was doing up so early, I told her about what I experienced and she asked me not to scare her like that... I told her, Im not kidding... check out the rug, its wet, the Door was opened when I woke up... Dont know how that happened...
Btw, I forgot to mention... My room was a mess that morning... my school books were all over the floor, the exercise machine was on the floor now and there was a scatched where it fell along the wall... I would have thought it was my imagination but with the doors and books and stuff not in there places really proves me wrong!

Hadn't seen this topic before. Liked the stories some of the members shared.
Just thought I would bring up the Topic again since it is October and Halloween is almost here.
Plus some of the New Members might have some stories of their own.

This actually happened in a house i lived in here in Eagle pass.....lots of little things, when i first moved in all the drawers in the kitchen and all the cabinets would be open...i didn't live alone so my room mate and i spent a lot of time blaming each other for that. or walking in gathering stuff for doing laundry then when your about to walk out you go over to turn off the radio thats been playing in the background and realize not only is it not plugged in but theres no sound coming from it, no tv in the house yet and your alone yet as soon as you realizes its not the radio you can hear things more distinctly, arguing and crying!! or hearing someone upstairs while your cooking saying foods almost ready and hearing an OK then when you announce its ready nobodys in the house at all. a dog who is terrified to enter the house beyond a certain point...wont even come in for a steak, walking into your room and going up to a door you closed moments before and starting to growl then runing off whining with its tail between its legs then when you get up to run you fall and get a bruise all around your waist from falling on a bare floor..when you get out of the room and almost to the front door you turn around and see the door you had closed still bouncing off the wall a little from the impact of having been violently opened...umm....oh the door Despite the fact that you lock it always ends up being unlocked and open with the music blaring from your sound system...a few times i came home to cops investigating since they were calling out and nobody would answer... a million more things i could mention and they pretty much string together to tell a good story but i don't fell like making myself sound crazy..er or getting too creaped out . I never completely moved in and although i had a one year lease i only stayed for about 4 or 5 months. i fulfilled my contract, kept paying rent and all( what was i supposed to say, im sorry, i know i signed a binding legal contract but i need to get our of it on account of your house being haunted) please. you know before that i didn't belive in ghost...but someone told me they had read once that eagle pass was supposedly one of the more haunted places in the nation.
speaking of which, has anyone been out to that radar base or something like that. its supposed to be haunted. i went once but that was years ago and i cant remember where it is or how to get there.

I have been there once and heard voices. I then put my eat on the antenna and found out there was a live broadcast coming out of there. I was so scared I even lost my buzz. Not cool.

This is a little off topic yet what isn't on this forum.
Does anyone here know of scary Web Site's? I know my little brother does it's a Spanish one I believe so I will post it later. He say's it's pretty scary.
Also has anyone here heard of the trick I guess you can say about using your TV and camera?
As many people know Camera's have been picking up stuff that the human eye just can't see. Well, I was told that if you want to know if there is a "Ghost" Living in your TV to get your camera, film camera or digital don't matter and turn off your TV at the same time take the picture. If there is something they say you can see a ghost. Apparently Ghost like to get into your T.V.s from what I hear.
Don't know if it's true though.

Chicago is notorious for its hauntings and ghost stories-- i believe in the afterlife now-- raised as a catholic and w relatives from deep mexico speaking about the dead and the living and the demons and thier stories i always sort of believed but you don't really believe until you come across any kind of strange experiences-- i lived :( in a three story flat uptown chicago -- the builiding is well over 100 years old -- its a beauty!! when i first moved in and settled in no doubt it was creepy -- i stay on the 2nd flr-- it was a single family home at one time but was rehabbed--- i have a huge closet in my front room (the living area) that connects to a back stair that leads to the third floor -- its closed off -- when i first moved it i never opened it because it gave me the creeps -- one night after going out i came home around 3am -- the closet door was open -- being a little tipsy -- i though nothing off it and closed it and went to bed -- in the morning same thing happened -- thought nothing of it --- on mondaynight when i got back from work the door was open and there was a strong scent of roses---- freaked out i called the landlord stating someone was in my apt during the day and sprayed something -- after he came over and talked for a couple of ours come to realize that his great grandma had passed away in my front room when it was single family home a while back--- her favorite flower roses!!!!!! -- did i renew my lease --- HELL NO!!!!

We had just moved into our new house during my 9th grade year summer. And I was going to summer school to get ahead in credits. ;) Well during the summer my mom's sister and nieces came over. Well, since we had just moved in everything was pretty simple still and there where still boxes all over the place that still had not been unpacked. Well, as I was getting ready for school one morning I was looking through some boxes for a pair of tennis shoe's I wanted to wear. Well, as I looked up I saw a dark shadow of a little girl pass by the hall. And I called my cousin's name out and said you are up so early? No one answered so I went into the kitchen and nothing then the living room and nothing as well as the dining room no one the bathroom door was open and no one was in there. So I checked in the room where my aunt and cousins where staying and they where all asleep.
So I didn't think of it much. I went off to school and didn't tell anyone till a couple of days later. Only after my Mom said she saw a shadow pass by while she was in the laundry room folding cloths. Then I told my parents what I saw. Well, then my Dad told his Mom and we find out that the Lot where our house sits on. Belonged to my Dad's uncle. When my dad's uncle owned the lot they had a house on the lot in that house one of his daughters died at a young age. We didn't know anything and the house where the young girl died had been destroyed or moved years before our house was built.
We haven't seen anything since. And we hope we don't see anything either.
ARE YOU AFRAID OF GHOSTS THOUGH  , OR DO YOU THINK ITS COOL TO HAVE LIVED SOMETHING LIKE THAT? I THINK THATS INTERESTING <_<
A few years ago when I was married I lived in Quemado. We lived in a small house on a pecan farm. Well I always felt like someone was looking at me or I would see shadows pass out of the corner of my eye. They never really scared me but I just felt wierd seeing this. Well I didn't want to tell my ex because he would probably think I was crazy. But one day he asked if I ever saw those shadows. So he was seeing them all along too. Well he asked this man who had live all his life in Quemado about that land. And the man told him that years ago there was a house in back of the house where we lived then. That the man had killed his wife because he thought she was cheating on him. And that sometimes the spirits roam because they cannot find peace. He told my ex to make a cross and put it in the ground where the house used to be. That that would probably help. Well he did just that and we never saw the shadow again after the cross was placed. So I guess that spirit is now resting in peace unless someone knocked the cross down.
