:o wasn't Mr. Castillon the principal?
Someone needs to fix the clock___
Mr. Castillon was a math teacher. I heard he was a counselor now. Mr. Castillo was the principal. Yeah, I remember the "take out the umbrella's his on the speaker". What was the choir teachers name? She was my teacher too. She was pretty nice. It was my "catch up on my homework class".
HOw long ago was this? I dont remember a Mr. Castillon... I graduated in the class of 93. My principals... if I remember correctly was Olivarez, Guerra, and Bowles.... My favorite teacher, well I had a few, but the one I do remember is Mrs. Bustamantes, my Shorthand teacher... She was the coolest of em all... And the Choir teacher I remember was Ms. Perez... she was cool too, had her class two years. Mrs. Martha Rodriguez and Cavazos were cool... and so was Mr. Mejia! And the most good looking teacher was ofcourse Mr. Harris!
Mr. Castillon was there back in '89 and the other people Rene named were assist. principals when I was there. Ms Perez, that is right. I couldn't think of her name to save my life. She was nice. I took shorthand with Mrs. Bustamante too. She was a sweetheart.

O GAWD,, MR CASTILLO WAS A MF. I GOT CORPORAL PUNISHMENT FROM HIM  3 LICKS!!!!!!!
YRS LATER I HAVE SEEN HIM OUT IN THE PEDA AND HE'S AIGHT NOW . BUT I DO REMIND HIM OF THE PAST. HEHE!
WHO REMEMBERS MRS STONE?? OR MR DAN BUSTAMANTE??
I remember Mrs. Stone. Her husband was a sweet man. He was a Science teacher. Have they retired, yet?
What class year did Mr. Fernandez teach?
Didn't Mr. Bustamante the Drivers Ed teacher?
I just graduated 10 yrs ago and I dont remember all the teachers... well now Mrs. Urbina Charles came to mind.. She was awesome, I loved her, I had Creative Writing with her. I remember Mr. Maurice Harris the drama teacher, and Mr. Albert Muzquiz, he was awesome too, Mr. Cerna he was in Bookkeeping and Accounting, Mrs. Riojas - Social Studies, Mr. Blanton for Government, Mr. Arredondo for Economics if im not mistaken. Mr. Donley, Mr. Gonzalez for Spanish, so far thats all I can remember for now...
At this high school, I think I skipped my First period class which was Spanish for a whole semester... I'd get to school real late, and when I would have that Office period with Mrs. Rodriguez I would clear off the absences... lol. But the bad thing was that Next year, i had to repeat my senior yr, well I was just missing One credit, and an elective.. sooooooo, i took deca to make up for PE... Whew!

We all hated one teacher or another at some point. Me, I hated all my math teachers. Maybe it was because math was my weekest subject.
You'll soon reallize that the teacher is there as a learning tool that you must use to try and make sense of it all.

I kind of liked math. I think it was okay since I had Coach Cantu (volleyball coach for girls JV). I thought he was pretty cool and helpful in algebra. I don't think he is there anymore. This was back in the late 80's, yep lonnngggg time ago. I disliked history and still do even though I had a nice teacher, Ms. Sumpter.
Yes I know what you mean by those --- ---- teachers but on the other hand you have those that care.
About the cute teachers, I guess I can't answer that one because I don't think I had cute teachers unless I can say Mr. Edwards (art teacher) because I thought he looked cute on his motorcycle. Cute as in cool.

Mr Floyd the art teacher in Memorial was the best art teacher. He started the comic book club that was active for one year only. after that he moved to Poteet, Tx. I have not heard from him since. Infinity comics was the project most of us worked on but never finished. A very fun class that i never had, considering that i would sometimes skip just to go to his class.

I don't know about you but I was in the Pre-AP class this past year and I learned more from this class than I did in any other. You can't possibly compare him to*** or any of the other science teacher's at school. There were people this past year that were moved from ***REGULAR (not Pre-AP or AP) physics class into **** regular class and they were completely lost. It got to the point that I had to tutor a few of them since they were doing so miserably. You were probably one of those people that got switched or else why would you be saying anything bad about the guy. I admit there's nothing easy about the subject but common, you can't balme the teacher for the fact that you're lazy and don't bother paying attention. I'll tell you what my band director told us when we couldn't play what they asked us to and we'd blame it on our horn..."no es el pito, es el mono" which in reference to the topic at hand means the problem is not the teacher, especially when the teacher is a certified engineer just as ***is, but the person that takes the class knowing it's going to be hard and doesn't give it their all.
Before you bad mouth one of the few decent teachers at school, you should say everything you just said about ****about your English teacher(s). Boy did they work wonders with you.

Well said johnny, some students think their so smart that when they finally meet a challange, their first instinct is to blame someone or something.

I remember Dan as the principle, and arturito G the asst. They had a paddle in those days. Good guys. I gave them hell, but they spent the time to care. Pete C was coach robo. Some of favorite teachers were mr velez, speech, and t fagg, i don't know what she taught, but i knew what she had.

LOL! spursfan12, you think that just because you were an athlete it gives you the right to bad mouth a teacher. GROW UP! We do have freedom of speech but we also have to try to live in a civilised manner. Constructive critisism goes alot further than bad mouthing.
And by the way, I was an athlete too and was also an honor student.

Well one of the major flaws I see with most teachers at school is that you ask them a question and they give you the answer right away and really you shouldn't being doing that with the kids. They're supposed to think about the answer because in a year or two when they're off to college, you know the teacher isn't going to be there right next to them giving them the answer, they have to learn to be independent and be able to think outside of the box...then again, that's just my opinion
