I am thinking of advertising the site in EP in some of the newspapers etc..

Any ideas on what I should say in the ad?

Thinking something like:

EaglePassOnline.com where people from Eagle Pass meet on the web!

or???

Maybe that's lame, let me know what you think.. Input from those that make this a great site to hang out is really what I am after.

Thanks,
Lightwav!

I was advertising EPonline by word of mouth... Im trying to get people in here so maybe one day we can all just log into chat here, and there is people there...

I love this website... I check it, just about everyday! I really wish people were into it.. and chip in!

I LOVE IT! I have it on my sit under links.... But I think imma get a banner from here, and put it on my website for those viewers that go there. do you have a banner I can place on my website, if so, just email it to me...

where is this EP chat room you are talking about. I went into EPalumni and did not see a working chat. The chat here says it is not working until it finds a better format. ;)

What size banner would you like?

Tito>>

I am going to put the free Parachat chat thingy back up for now, it's full of ads which people did not like but at least we will have chat until I can get the new up and running.

You guys/gals think the Church bulletins are a good place to advertise the site?

Other suggested places to advertise would be welcome.. I already thought of the News Papers, so something other than that..

How about advertising on the radio? I know they usually charge for airtime but if its non-profit project for the community I dont think they'l charge. And maybe the radio station can use this site to advertise their gigs. What do ya think? Let me know if you want me to contact the local radio stations and get some info. Who knows, maybe the local TV stations will follow.
And what about the chamber of commerce. They can advertise the link on their brochures and stuff.

Cheapest one i think would be el gram.. but not sure if Internet peeps check it out that often... I know that FM 105 charges upto 200.00 per month on advertising.. i think about 100 times a month, u decide what days and so forth.

FM 96.1 charges 100.00 a month, i think its like 5 times a day... could be more...

Eagle Pass business journal once gave me prices for posting on the paper, and it wasnt that bad, I dont recall...

I wish my spanish was a lil more fluent so I could tell people about it, word of mouth. I know its not all that hard but sometimes I cant find the correct words, lol.

If I get any other Ideas... Ill let ya know..

LIGHTWAV>>> the width of the banner not to be more than 500 pixels <--> height maybe 50 / 60 pixels? whatever u think, or how ever much room u need.

I have two family websites I run, I will set up links to your site. I don't know how many of my relatives know about the this site. Anyways, maybe they will enjoy coming here as much as I do.

El Popos, on those hot summer nights, the yukis from there were the right cure to stop the sweats. Maybe my memory just remembers them as being huge, but I remember they served them in bowls with sliced bananas, tamarindos, and slices of lime. they would pour any combination of flavored syrup on them.
